Quest: A Counseling

and Healing Center,h_285,al_c,q_80,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01/dc6b6ab6167d47a0834290a9b295d5d4.jpg

Quest, a counseling service, is the most visible aspect of the Goodenough Community’s deep intention to see people actively involved in improving their lives.  The community’s mental health service has been shaped by counselors and clients into a unique blend of education and therapy.

Through Quest, clients are helped to evaluate their life situations and to learn and change, with friends to support their efforts. Treatment approaches include: body-mind integration, cognitive behavioral therapy, family of origin work, healing of childhood trauma, consultation/coaching on career, work, and family life.

Colette Hoff is a gifted counselor whose skills have been honed by over 40 years of practice.  During that time she has maintained an individual practice and, until his retiement, also collaborated with her husband, Dr. John Hoff.

As a pastoral counselor, Colette's approach has been informed by educational and developmental theory, advances in brain science, and the river of wisdom that runs through the world’s great spiritual traditions – often called the perennial philosophy.  Colette shares a commitment to empowering clients to be effective as individuals, partners, parents and members of society. She offers a process-oriented approach arising from her exceptional ability to clarify where individuals are in their development and provide services to comfort, challenge, and guide.

At the heart of her work is her intention to be an example of an individual living up to her full potential.
